A Dormant Demon Lurks Beneath

That eerie silence that provokes a false sense of calm
That meditative state that harbours a state of qualm
That composed yet cordial composure that is seen from the surface
That disciplined and driven spirit that is forever cautious
A dormant demon lurks beneath

That dawn of explosive wrath that creates horrendous havoc
That destructive anger whom a loved one is struck
That surge of heightened emotions that leads astray
That moment of time where time becomes doomsday
A disturbed demon awakens beneath

That dusk of extinguished temper results in total destruction
That moment of time where the spirit feels shun
That period of self-loathing and self-deprecation begins
That endless amount of terror has amassed countless sins
A despairing demon loathes beneath

However, a new light shines a ray of salvation
However, a change of heart can end this eternal damnation
However, turning a new leaf over can end this spiritual starvation
However, an attainment of eternal peace will allow this conversion
A redeeming demon converts beneath

A bad person is a bad person they say
A good person is a good person the say

We all have our little demons that reside deep within
But we have the power to let the sin control us or us control the sin
